Amazon QuickSight – Functions

In Amazon QuickSight, functions are pre-defined mathematical operations that you can use to manipulate data in a data set. Some of the common functions available in QuickSight 

Aggregation functions: SUM, AVG, COUNT, MIN, MAX, and others.

Text functions: CONCAT, LENGTH, UPPER, LOWER, and others.

Date and time functions: NOW, TODAY, YEAR, MONTH, DAY, and others.

Conditional functions: IF, SWITCH, and others.

Conversion functions: TO_NUMBER, TO_DATE, and others.

Mathematical functions: ABS, CEIL, FLOOR, and others.

Geospatial functions: DISTANCE, AREA, and others.

You can use these functions to create calculated fields in QuickSight, which can be used in visualizations and reports.
