Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a suite of cloud computing services offered by Google. This includes a range of hosted services for a series of modular cloud services including computing, data storage, data analytics and machine learning. It also provides Infrastructure as a service(IaaS), Platform as a service(PaaS), and Serverless computing environments. These services can be accessed by software developers, cloud administrators, IT professionals over the public internet.

Google Cloud Platform not only includes Google Cloud Platform public cloud infrastructure but also G Suite, enterprise versions of Android and Chrome OS, and application programming interfaces (APIs) for machine learning and enterprise mapping services.

In 2008 App Engine was introduced by Google, it was a platform or developing and hosting web applications in Google-managed data centers, which was the first cloud computing service from the company. In 2011 this service was available and an announcement was made on App Engine and to this multiple cloud services were added to this platform.

GCP offers a wide range of services such as, compute, storage, networking, big data, machine learning and the internet of things (IoT), as well as cloud management, security and developer tools.
