Microsoft Azure
Microsoft Azure radically known as Windows Azure in 2008.It is a cloud computing service held for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through a global network of Microsoft-managed data centers.
Microsoft Azure supports many different programming languages, tools and frameworks including both Microsoft-specific and third-party software and systems. It provides SaaS (software as a service), PaaS(Platform as a service), and Iaas (Infract structure as a service).Users can pick and choose the services to develop new applications or run existing applications.
It started it’s operations in 2008 as “Windows Azure” with a codename “Project Red Dog” and is created by Microsoft. After which new version of services were introduced such as WS, the portfolio continued to evolve and support a larger base of programming languages, frameworks and operating systems (including Linux) in the year 2010.By 2014 the cloud computing services have expanded beyond windows, and the services was renamed as Microsoft Azure.
Azure provides a range of cloud services which includes Compute, Data storage, Analytics, Networking, Media and content delivery network (CDN), Hybrid integration, Identity and access management (IAM), Internet of things, Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, Containers, Security, Databases, DevOps, Migration, Development, Mobile, Management.
